Ive been dj-ing now for 11 years and I have explored almost every genre out there. I've got a record collection ranging from early dutch hardcore through to current house and hip-hop.

11 years on from my first set of decks I find myself narrowing my sets down to mostly house and techno. I enjoy uplifting and funky stuff but the one thing that I have always enjoyed most is the darker side of things. This probably has a lot to do with Holland's influence on me. I discovered hardcore which was then more commonly known as "gabber" while living in Holland from 1995-97 .

I started to watch all the "gabber feestje's" or raves on T.V. and from there I started collecting mixtapes and Club X (famous hardcore club in Belgium) cd's .

In 1997 I moved back to Scotland and met Andrew Begg, a great friend of mine , who already was spinning hardcore records by the likes of Scottish legend Scott Brown. I was instantly hooked and this first taste of mixing records led me to my first set of decks later that year.

Judge Jules and Mauro Picotto were the main influences in the early years of my vinyl purchases.

I travelled around the UK to various festivals including Global Gathering and Gatecrasher Summer Sound System to see these types of dj's play and so for the first 5 or 6 years of my dj-ing life I was heavily involved with the trance/techno/hard dance scene.

My taste in style has matured even if I do still appreciate the anthems and banging techno. Even though I spent so much on dance records in general I was still well into to my hip-hop. I had been listening to hip-hop way before I discovered I liked electronic music, I just never thought of buying hip-hop records...untill much later around 2002.

I still play hip-hop a lot now and this has opened up plenty of opportunity's here (in Dallas) where electronic music is not in as much demand as in the UK..

Since arriving in Dallas I have played alongside some great locals including good friends and well known house heads E.S.P. I was also involved for a while at several after-hours spots around the city including Afterlife when A*S*Y*S was headlining. I've been fortunate enough to have played a couple of times for Dallas' most prolific promoters Prototype Industries and Full Access featuring on the same bill as Charles Feelgood and Junkie XL at "The World Famous Lizard Lounge", a club I had never heard of until I moved here but most big room headliners seem to get booked to play here when they come to Dallas.

More recently I tried my hand at running my own night, which was quite short lived. It slowly turned into another top 40 night which I had really run myself into the ground with at that point and so I decided to move on. I've now had a few months away from the decks and am looking out for a fresh opportunuity in the coming months.

In conjunction with dj-ing I’m slowly getting into production with two trial efforts finished, so keep checking back to MY TRACKS for updates."
